About
I'm a London-based photographer working mostly with people who move — yoga teachers, dancers, anyone whose practice is easier to show than to describe — and, when the light looks promising, with landscapes.
I work with natural light wherever it's possible. Not out of principle exactly, but because it tends to look like the place actually looked, and because people relax faster when there isn't a wall of equipment between us.
The same instinct runs through how the landscape work is made. No AI-generated elements, nothing added or invented — everything here was in front of the camera. Where a scene exceeds what a single frame can hold, I blend exposures by hand and work the contrast and tone locally, the way it has been done since the darkroom. It takes longer. It also means that when you stand somewhere I've photographed, you recognise it.
My work has been published by the Financial Times, the Sunday Times, The Guardian and Time Out, among others.
Some of what I've learned about photographing this city I now teach, one to one, at sunrise and sunset in the places I've spent years working out. Workshops in London →
To add: how you started, what you're drawn to, anything about teaching or practising yoga yourself, and a closing line inviting contact.
